I probably wont be able to meet up at your work, Ssooch, but i may be able to make it to the show, if you guys want to save a spot....
I gotta work till at least 5, usually.

Should have my Vararam installed by then, and possibly a new cat assembly...?

Did ya'll see the 42 Camaro get together in Texas? Lets all do that!
I wish!
We need Lightning do do his striking full time, not just every once in a while...

Of course we will save you a spot. I want to see the Vararam.

That 42 Camaro gathering was photoshopped! That would be cool if we could pull something like that off. Our official recruiter "Lightning" needs to step it up.

In addition to the 42 gathered, I'd like to complete the color collection. Lightning, please leave the whole "hook up at a hotel" out this go around.

Let's do an update of the Utah members that we know about. See if we can PM them. We need to start a full stalking campaign. If that doesn't work, we'll start a prize/bribery gimmick.

This is the kind of day that makes you wonder how long it would take to go to Wendover and back....

Hmmmm Wendover and back. According to yahoo maps it is 122.18 miles from SLC to Wendover.

1.63hrs @ 75mph
1.53hrs @ 80mph
1.44hrs @ 85mph
1.36hrs @ 90mph
1.28hrs @ 95mph
1.22hrs @ 100mph

But that is just one way. LOL
Sorry was bored at work.

Let's be realistic:

We should calculate the speeding ticket. Last time the ticket process... took an additional 15-20 minutes. If a ticket is given there... and back, that is 3:26 hrs total. Damn, I think someone would notice if I were gone that long...

Geez, early today, it was clear enough, that if I squinted, I could almost see Wendover.

Speeding ticket for 35 MPH over the speed limit is as follows.

$440 for the first 31 MPH

$10 for each additional MPH over, so $480

I think the time would probably be the least of your worries

Unfortunately, I also know that 21 MPH over in a construction zone totals $465.

On the positive side, I wasn't driving a Pinto Station Wagon AND I had the Camaro for 2.5 months before I got a ticket.

I've had several Sheriff's (work related, not criminal record related) offer to ride in, or drive the car, "claiming" they wouldn't get a ticket.

I am just wondering at what point do you get taken to jail and your car impounded? We have had that argument at work for a couple of weeks now and no one really seems to know or want to find out.
Not that I would ever go over the 75mph speed limit.

Depends on where you are whether you go to jail or not honestly.

Reckless driving is a misdemeanor, and in Utah driving double the speed limit is automatically reckless so you could go to jail. In the mertro areas you'll likely just be cited. Jails are crowded and traffic offenses other than DUI are rarely jail worthy.

Utah now allows vehicles to be impounded for racing. We catch a few every year. It's not cheap to get your car back, let alone pay the ticket
