The other day my 2LS DIC display attempted to give me a crash course in German (why German? ). I'm fearing my 2 year old AC Delco replacement battery is getting ready to give up the ghost. Out of desperation I decided to give the terminals and ground point a good cleaning. A little bit of crud, nothing major. Also aired up the spare from 20 to 40 psi.

Got a cheap cluster from a 2012 and swapped out the needles. Swapping the overlay would require changing out the entire cluster and getting it programmed, so I just went with the needles. Also the plastic clear cover for the 2012 was in better shape so I swapped that out also. Needles line up better when driving then they do in this picture.

45 degrees and all of the rain finally stopped for a day. Went for a nice drive, cleaned it, now putting away for another week or so as rain and snow are coming back.

Whereabouts in Michigan? Genesee County here. I would love to get mine out, even after the rain there is so much salt on the roads.

Oakland/Macomb. Took a drive out to the water yesterday for a late lunch. No salt left on the roads, just a bit in the center turn lanes. Pouring rain here now. As long as we don’t get snow on Thursday, looks like the weekend is upper 30s. Might take it out again.

Lol. I picked my current 5th gen up in Escanaba a couple months ago. It had 7,400 miles on it for a reason. Had to wait out a snow storm in October to pick it up on a dry day.

I bought mine from the original owner. He is one of my best friends, i remember when he picked it up. He always parked it in the first week of November, before any snow/ice/salt on the road. He wouldnt get it out in the spring until we had at least 3 good solid rains. So it has never been in any sort of salt, I aim to keep it that way. It is a fun extra toy for me, i dont like road grime on it, because of that I dont drive it if it looks like rain sooooo

I see lots of Camaro, Corvette, Challenger, Mustangs on the roads at all times, in all sorts of weather, so I know it is possible.

Besides driving mine to work today I added some carbon fiber and new hood insulation with a custom bowtie and waiting on a few more carbon fiber pieces to arrive...
