Wow. Drop 400lbs from the current Camaro and I bet that mpg will go up by one too. And sure, a tweak of the V6 engine can easily bring it from 304 to 306....no problem

This SVT Performance Package equipped V6 could be just as good of a performer as the current 2010 GT. It's only lacking 20 HP, so the current GT is a good benchmark for speculated times.

2011 Mustang Price Increase

Most Mustang owners have said that there will be no price increase for the 2011 Mustangs due to the cost already being added on to the current 2010 Mustangs. So as I understand this, 2010 Mustangs owners are paying for advancements they did not receive? Is that legal lol?

Well that is the word on the streets but I think a $1000 increase on the V6 is coming.

Hey hey Hey!!!! Don't be busting on the Corsica. I had it's brother car twice. An '88 Beretta GT V6 and a 1996 Beretta Z-26. LOVED the wheels on the 1996 Z-26. Both were POS's but hey, they looked great!

These aren't actual pictures of my car per say but it was exactly this color and in better shape than this one. If you can believe it, this Beretta is going for $7000.00 with almost 60K miles on it. They are on CRACK! Ironically, I would take this car a third time over this Mustang. Damn does Ford need to create new styling for Mustangs. They increasingly look like poop.

Mustang ripping off the Corsica? You decide.

2011 Ford Mustang GT Vs Modded 1996 Chevrolet Corsica

Crazy to think the Mustang, as unexciting as it looks, will get 305HP+

gunna be a good battle when it happens
hope Chevy can step it up that year just to say ha mines better

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/30/2...-2009-preview/

which also brings me to the point of what are the v6's getting in mileage so far?
anyone getting the claimed average?
Looks like the Camaro would have to bump it's power rating another 26hp to match the mustang's performance and possibly more if it wants to out accelerate it.I'm not sure how well that will play into the fuel economy rating for the vehicle, but I'm guessing not well. The other option would be to put the vehicle on a 300 pounds diet.

I don;t see any changes to the engines of camaro in 2011.
2011 is the year of the mustang, it will mop the floor with the camaro. WHy ?
MPG. and HP like they posted. not much if a difference, 1 MGP and 1 HP but most important will be the numbers of 0-60. i think v6 pack mustang wil get 5.4 secs in 0-60. vs camaro 6 seconds
take a look at this

"Said unnamed engineer mentioned there's a distinct possibility the track-pack equipped V6 will not only stick with the V8 track-pack 'Stang, it might even outrun it"

that v8 being 2010 mustang gt

and if u look at the 6 Performance Package suspensions specs they llook like alot that of a GT Track Pack suspension specs.

The Car and Driver article says the CURRENT 6 cyl Mustang weighs 3421, and the new one lost 40lbs of engine weight and maybe gained "a few" of those pounds back due to a heavier exhaust. So figure 3390 for the new one.

Wow what a great car. Looks great, will perform great and great MPG to boot. I thought the Camaro LS was the performance bargain of the century, not any more. Same HP and a lot less weight. Camaro V6 will have its hands full. Now lets see what Ford brings with the GT, I would expect no less, better MPG and better HP to weight ratio.

Now 40 years from now I will be that old guy talking about the second muscle car era.
