No need for Hammers. CAD drawing are being worked on as we speak .

Quote from Jamie: " I can make a RS3-LR intake with a single 102mm TB. The plenums openings need to be 105mm apart, and it looks like I can get them this close with about a 6.5" long runner. This is only 1.5" shorter than a stock GM LS7 intake manifold. If you go ahead with it, I will try to push it closer to a 6.75 or 7" runner (but cant guarantee it)"

Our response was to make the runners as long as possible as we can always mod the hood.

We will be running a NW billet TB.

This is going to end up costing me money.

Love your cooler setups. With removal of all the plastic guiding air towards the radiator you may want to look at that once you mock up the front bumper to keep air forced through the radiator and keep it sealed properly. Not sure if you already have something in mind for that.

Did the vararam intake go tits up so you're going another route? Delivery timeline still too much up in the air? Or do you just want something else billet to polish with your dremel? Would like to see something economical come out by this winter but I know what you're looking at now aint what I'd call economical so I'd have to pass.

We are planning on updating the look to the Z/28 so we have to wait till then to see what will do

Something like that........tired of waiting! It was supposed to be done for SEMA. Good thing we didn't make it........

Or do you just want something else billet to polish with your dremel?

LOL, no please no more

Supposedly the Vararam will be out this Spring but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Plus the OZMO is more in keeping with our thyme. We will probably do a different cam more track friendly, TD rockers and Mast head and Daily dry-sump. Should be done till we go to a larger displacement.

Done? Ha.

I haven't found a dry sump that wouldn't require a/c removal. Might need to convert to a vette front drive or something if I want to go that route. I'll wait til the motor implodes and then figure it out.

I meant the engine, LOL

G5.R still has "list To do" (see below) to be closer to done:
  1. March till we receive rear tubular cradle
  2. Contemplating Blu808 front billet spindle kit which drops 60 more lbs.
  3. Replace most of the panels we already have with the Z/28 pieces made from carbon (This will be closer to SEMA)
  4. Replace roof with carbon a piece. Should have these pieces in May. We are actually doing the 2014 hood, roof and trunk in dry carbon. We dropped off the pieces yesterday to start the mold process.
  5. Get the car completely buffed out
  6. Redo the roll cage (This month)
  7. Do all new interior panels ( Last thing will do)
  8. Redo trans with 1LE - Z/28 gearing (will be sending it to Tick)
  9. Finishing the pluming, ie; brake line, trans, diff, and PS (waiting on machined parts, hopefully done with all of it in Feb)
  10. Powder coat and anodize a bunch of stuff
  11. Repaint the interior in black, engine bay and floor board in the satin gray.
  12. Should be done with the wiring tomorrow for the most part. Eric spent another full day working on the harness today. So far there's at least 50 hours of harness work. The plans is to do the interior harness.
Man it's tiring just writing this list! We just figure if we work on it at least a little each day, eventually it will get done.

Don't do a 2014 hood unless it's a zl1 hood with the center showing the carbon fiber. It would match your theme too!

Krusher, here is kinda what we were thinking. Raising the cowl an additional 2" with the vents in carbon like the Z/28. But I think we will be able to get away with the stock cowl hood line. We are making a raise hood anyways for the guys running blowers who want to keep their rain dish. Thanks to Brunogadget for the photoshop!

Here's the final design. The runners are 6.8". The intake will sit approx 3.5 higher than stock.

OK, need your guys input. Should we run the rails on the inside were you wont see them or on the outside? I am thinking outside...

Notice the new design on the intake is now a one piece billet housing for the TB. Josh's ( See pic below) was a two piece design.

That really is the first manifold with the rails on the outside that ive liked just as much as the ones with them hidden on the inside.

Tough call, both look great, and with them on the outside it fits the mechanical theme you are going for, but inside fits the clean theme better haha.

I think the angle you posted for the outside-rail one is probably the most flattering for it, any other angle the one without rails would win.

I vote rails on the insdie.

Time to head out to the shop and make some measurements. I would prefer to keep the SS hood on my 2000 SS but I might have to go with a cowl just to fit one of those.

The outside looks cool but as clean as everything else is under the hood on your car, I would go inside and show off as much of the manifold as possible.

I would agree with Chase keep it hidden and supa supa clean.

And with the hood, I just don't like how the new camaros made the hood cowl wider, but then put a dinky little louver in (Relative to the ZL1 hood). The ZL1 hood has a bigger louver for more cooling and it follows the body lines better. I do really love your car though and I know it will look awesome no mater what.

I agree. I don't feel the hood will looks as good as the 10-13 with a raise cowl. I think we should be able to get away with the stock height.

We had a really productive day on the harness. Should have about 5 more minutes and it will be DONE! LOL

In the pile are all are all the wires we removed.

Here all the wires we removed! The wire cutter gives some perspective.

This doesn't include all the sensors, modules, etc... all told, I would say we removed around 15 lbs.
