So some bad news, #2014 is in fact a canceled customer order.

It appears my father in law ordered two originally one gray and the other yellow at Wally Edgar Chevy in Lake Orion, MI.

The gray Camaro was for my brother-in law who turned down the car back in Dec. so the dealer switched the color to yellow and removed the RS package, so it looked like it was the other yellow car for my father-in law....confusing I know.

Both were ordered the same day, so the "dealer" 2SS was built a month ago and he just got a build week for his.

Looks like the strategy would have been to pre-order, then cancel, the dealer would make it a dealer stock vehicle, and then wait for it to be built, and then re-bill it as a customer order....

talked to my dealer yesterday .found out i'm at 3000.he told me they're in the 8000's now. rjt black stripes 2ss ordered oct 15th

This thread has more accurate information than most dealers have access to, talked to my dealer today, he moved me up to number two of his 9 units, based on waffleing by others who placed orders. He DID NOT have VIN numbers, so I gave him a print-out showing him the one VIN that this site showed for his dealership. Also one of the Owners talked to Scott (fbodfather) at Tom Henry's dads funeral, who said two of this dealers cars were being held due to replacement of power steering units (the big lot in Pontiac, MI). Mine could be built but they have no idea, is mine siting in that lot? My point is that my dealers computer system DOES NOT show him the data that other dealers on this site seem to have access to, maybe they need to update, but they have less info than this site.

Did get to test drive a V-6 they got in today, very good ride, very low roof, odd feel of steering wheel because of shape, but it is great riding car, very good fit and finish.
A note on Dealer cars, their name is NOT on window sticker, they have not been invoiced, so they can NOT sell, they were joking that they had nothing indicating it was their car, except for the keys and delivery truck manifest.

Wow... that's considerably more than just reflashing the BCM... We were told that they ran out of pumps for 2 days so the line was at a stand still. But assuming your info is accurate, it does help explain the long delays of the early cars.

The rest of his comment (fbodfather) was that they were too noisey (the power steering pumps).

It would explain an "additional" wait. Not justify the wait times we're seeing. There are cars being turned around in Pontiac in 2 days and there are cars that have been sitting there as long as 29 days. Mine's been there 19 days. 19 days- they build the whole car in 4...

i dealer never told me what day mine was produced on, but my vin is before yours 7072 so mine had to be made on the same day or earlier.
