Agreed and agreed.

Haven't had a car loan in 15 years. We bought this car as a toy and wrote a check. Had our first home paid off for 11 years after paying it off in 15 years. Then we did a stupid thing because our neighborhood starting going down the toilet and we sold and moved to our dream home and built my dream shop 6 years ago. Should have it paid off in a few more years and I will never have another loan, period. If I don't have the money in our account I can't afford it or don't need it, or both...

I got another third of the car polished out last night. All three steps of compounding and polishing and really brought out the depth and clarity.

I've painted quite a bit of candy paints in my day and this Crystal Red Tintcoat GM color really pops when the light hits it. It is about as close to a candy red without actually being a candy color.

The only section I have remaining is the roof and from the body line up on the doors and then it's time to give her a thorough wash and detail to get rid of the remaining splatter.

Final pics hopefully to follow after the weekend as we're supposed to have a beautiful weekend here in Northern Utah and I want to wrap up the paint correction and new wheels plus get some miles on her.

I'm not gonna lie, I couldn't wait. I had to put the car down last night anyways to reach the roof without leaning against the doors so I slapped the tires/wheels on and set her on the ground. Looks good. It's just too filthy to post any pictures of it with the tires/wheels on until she's clean..

Got the engine compartment all detailed up ready for goodguys raliegh in 2 weeks....

Pulled the side skirts off as the new ZL1 skirts came in and are awaiting paint. Really simple to remove, and yep broke a few clips but meh...not the worst thing Ive done! MAJOR KUDOS to AQUA for the assist on this!

I was able to finish up the paint correction on Saturday.

The last third of the car remaining was the roof, tops of the doors, A-pillars and C-pillar (sail panel) as well as mirrors. Completed all three steps of polish on those areas then backed it outside and gave it a thorough wash and detail job. Also installed the new freshly chromed OEM wheels.

It was a beautiful weekend and the first day of the year working with the shop door open.

Here are a few pictures of the last remaining sections and steps before she's ready to knock down miles this summer.
