I got a 320 sanding block and went over the whole cover, couple coats of primer than I did like five coats of paint and 3 coats of clear. Most of the text is gone and it’s smooth. The covers are really for ls1 I think, it says ls3 but doesn’t clear the coil plugs, I moved the holes on drivers side a little and the passenger side I shimmed them up a little. Either that or you have to do some cutting. I just like the look of the old school big block valve covers. Also didn’t want to do relocation kit. Covers are one piece and I painted them matte black . Thanks !

Wayne, what coil covers/faux valve covers are you using? Phastech had Holley ones but have been out of stock/back ordered for over a year.

Hey Dan! I have the Holley "billet tall valve covers". They were painted red from them, and I had them powder coated to match. Got the ones for an L99. Here is the part number.. 241-113/Red. I think I bought them from Summit Racing. And the Accel coil packs.

Added a zl1 addon tow hook .. thinking i should of went with black ,but wanted to make sure it stqnded out so it wont get missed in case it neede to be towed

It's not 5 gen. but it's a Camaro.
I was fixing a loose steering column. I've never said so many dirty words in one sentence as I did today. But problem solved and everything as new.
