Well just heard from Eric and it isn't what I was hoping he would say. Says the car is still in QC With no ETA at all .... hmmm a little bird was telling me something quite different but I guess that bird may have been wrong ..

I called the GM canada number this morning and they told me my car was still in Canada being held in QC. Of course...you have an earlier vin then me.....my car is #11281. Wonder if there is another recall issue.

Okay...who got the CGM Camaro at Classic today? My first time to see one in person and it really looks great.

I was in there picking up a cargo mat and passed it on the way to the cashier.

Interesting... I am curious too! Also, my son took a pic of one yesterday/the day before at the local middle school here in trophy club. Silver with IOM Stripes and interior. Is that someone on this thread's car?

Anyone around here recognize the VIN 9109697 (#9697)?? If so, your car is in! I just left Classic, stopping by to see what Camaro's might have been delivered today, and this beautiful car is sitting there waiting for it's owner right now!

As I was drooling over the car (not on, over) the sales guy came out.. the one who placed the order, so he had the keys. It's a 1SS w/RS upgrade. Cloth interior, automatic 6sp w/Tapshift. Color? IMB! When I saw it from a distance, I thought it was mine and started to freak... then I noticed the lack of stripes.

Sales started up for me, but I wouldn't sit in it... he offered though. He started it up, and gave it a nice goose... oh man does that stock exhaust rock! Also, you're car has 3 miles on it... which I am sure is normal and low. Looks like you have a good Sales Rep (other than letting people sit in your car) but you need to HAUL buns and pick up your car!!

I ordered my Rally Yellow 2SS/RS today from Eric Hall. I have been looking and waiting to order for 4 months. It feels really good but I know I have a wait in front of me that will be hard to do.

QC this early in production for a first year completely new model is a very, VERY good idea... Not that it's not still extremely important 6 years into the model life either, but you're not usually waiting that long then.

I'm sure they're finding things to fix, and hopefully no one will ever be the wiser as the problems they are coming across are being resolved.

correct . .I believe in QC .. Just hate that my vin is before this one and is lost in space somewhere ... that GT500 in OK I've been looking at is looking better and better ...

Are you really considering a mustang over the camaro? It's fine if you are but you'll probably be sick to your stomach if you buy the GT500 and then your camaro arrives the next day. Just a little longer Crowley.....it's coming!!!

Ya, that sucks :(

The only GT500 I'd consider would be a 2010. If you actually read up on the 2009 and older ones, they don't get as good of mileage as the 2010, and for a 500 hp car they're hardly faster than the Camaro.

I briefly entertained the idea because they weigh less, and coming from a 3190 lb Corvette, that's important to me. However, the 2009 is not worth the $12k + price over the Camaro (I wouldn't pay any more for it since they frequently don't post much better numbers), and the 2010 is not worth $16k + for 300 less lbs and 74 hp.

I know it's hard to be patient, but it's for the best when you know what you're getting cant be beat for the money. It's well worth the wait.
