Is that the case? Is the unit pictured just the bezel/screen, and there is a separate "screenless" radio unit that must be purchased? Much like purchasing a computer CPU and flat-panel display separately?

If the "faceplate/bezel" and "display screen" are sold as a single unit, that would explain the extremely high pricing for what I thought was just a bezel w/HVAC knobs.
yep. just like current radios

Good to know... I hadn't yet pulled the radio from the Camaro, and was thinking the radio/screen were a single unit. Thanks for the education!

So remind me again what is stopping the 2012's from easily just popping this thing in and working, aren't the wiring the same as the 2013?

I think he said all but the 2010's have the same wiring. The 2011's just have to worry about the door locks.

Because I haven't done any mods to my '11 Camaro yet, what should I expect out of something like this? Should I already have some experience doing things like this or is there usually a step by step guide to doing it? I am very excited for this feat of 2SSRS. I want to also get a '12 inferno orange dash. Are there any suggestions as to how I could obtain one?

How involved is replacing the antenna for us 2010-11 owners?, that would appear to me to be the most difficult part of this.

I have done something very similar to my 06 Silverado, by installing a factory nav unit, I even installed Onstar in it, now that was interesting when I first pushed the blue button!!

This definitely looks like a fun project, but it will come with a hefty price I'm sure. I will wait and see what Ofer figues out before I attempt it.
