Yeah, but I want to do it eventually. I'll just be waiting to see what the price is on the V6 before I make any final decisions - if I can ring in a silver one with no options (like seriously, none - I'd actually rather have manual windows and locks, but I figure power will be standard. And even then, I probably wouldn't buy them until later on) for close enough to 20k, I'll pull together whatever scraps of finances I can to make it work. If I can't get a Camaro as soon as I'd like but can still get one relatively soon, I'd probably look at a 1-2 year old BMW 330 Coupe to hold me off for a few years. If the Camaro is off the table for good, my likely choices are:

BMW 135i
Infiniti G37
Used C6 Corvette
Altima Coupe w/ 3.5l V6
New M3 (now I'm really dreaming!)

If for some ungodly reason the new Camaro doesn't feel right :( like others have stated I guess I'll just keep my '97 Z-28 and spend the money on getting the engine rebuilt (blown 383 through LS1 Speed Inc).

yea I'm feeling ya, I am really pumped for the V6, if it is the LLT i will be so happy, and even happier for near 20K price. with a 6 speed manual it will be so fast plus I have a feeling there will be a lot of after market for this engine to make it like an 8.

I haven't really considered any other cars besides the Camaro. For a while there I was thinking of a Toyota Solara but due to reading a lot of new stuff in the past few months that thought has gone by the wayside. I would consider getting a newer Camaro than what I have, or I could just put the money into getting mine fixed up even more and go from there.

Going back to the G8 GT... Other than that, I think I'd have to hold off until I'm able to find a new 2dr coupe. It'd have to be something like the Caddy CTS coupe, Buick Lucerne (whatever that cool little two door coupe is), possibly a Redline (Saturn), or just Sky...I really don't know. don't wanna have to think about it. I've spent waaaay too much time planning and working towards this Camaro....my wife is tired of hearing about it, my mom rolls her eyes when i mention it, my brother could care less (until he sees mine in person and then wants to drive it! Yeah, I'll remember how ya felt then!), If I don't get this....it's nothign for me. Better yet, I'm going to go find that darn blue and yellow 4th Gen w/ the #6 on it w/ the flared 4 fenders. Damn....love that car.

Thats probably the next best chevy for around the same price so I don't think it's that funny, I'd probably do the same depending on the gas prices in a year .
