I don't think they are the future of all cars even if you capitalize the freaking year a lot in your posts. They are just for luxury cars where the price isn't a big deal.

LED headlamps emit a greatly more precise light pattern, while emulating the characteristics of natural daylight much more closely than traditional auto lighting. LEDs are environmentally friendly, using much less power and lasting more than 20 times longer than traditional halogen bulbs. LED headlamps will be an enhancement added to the Escalade Platinum in the summer of 2008, shortly after the start of production of the Platinum model itself in the spring of 2008.

In the first post, are you talking about added value as in resale type value or just general value? Because your second post seems to place LED headlights way above the general ones, or is that exagerated? Personally I would love to have LED headlights because anything that can make night driving easier works for me, especially if it ends up not blinding the drivers coming at me like a lot of the retarded headlights today do. I can see them not having them on the Camaro though for price issues.

I can live with the gas filler not being in the top of the fender (they're decision) but for crying out loud will they please keep the filler door on the same side as the steering wheel. If they make a Camaro right hand drive then move the door to the right.

You can say that again. You can't imagine how much re-tooling that would require! All for nothing. New body panels, filler necks, floorpans, gastanks, exhaust systems, etc. It's actually good more GM people DON'T read these forums.... they'd end up going insane trying to understand people putting so much importance on something that doesn't matter at all. And before you reply trying to impress on us all how much it DOES matter, re-read all the postings from people saying they'd rather have it on the opposite side from the driver. Please keep you're "crying out loud" to more important stuff! I do understand why people would want it on top and be cool billet aluminum but can't figure out at all why anyone would want it on one side more than the other. Don't explain it though.... it's not moving! Seriously: it was locked in by the Zeta platform long before the Camaro was even started.

I meant that the tail lights have a lot of extra cost for very little extra value.... only worth it when the cost is a very small part of the total price. The headlights have a higher cost but a higher value too so they might catch on even more than the tail lights.

Okay gotcha, I was thinking you were talking about the headlights not the tail lights. I agree that the tail lights just need to light up... only place I can think LED would be useful is in heavy fog for people to see you breaking further back? Maybe not even that. But yes LED headlights are nice methinks.

Thats the keyword right there, it seems thicker. Mostly it comes from perspective, paint, lighting, and camera lens. Camero has told us (I think he has at least) that based on the CAD models, the two cars are practically identical in terms of exterior dimensions and proportions.

It was my opinion. I thought this was an open forum for people to express themselves?

You are, and so is he. He was just explaining the difficulty in doing what you proposed. I'm sure he didn't mean to sound as harsh as he did.

Yeah sorry, it's like the headlights. I didn't mean to chew you out but when people keep asking for the headlights to change it's ridiculous. Those aren't the headlights and when a half dozen people a week say they don't like them for three months straight people start to snap. When people say they want the gas cap on the other side for three months straight I snap. It's not going to change, it's been explained many times. The car is done except for a few final touches. I mean it's theoretically possible that the door could be replaced by a billet cap (it won't though) but it's not going to change location. Yeah a forum is a place to post opinions, but even more it's a place to read about stuff to help form your opinions! Again, sorry though.

sorry -- but a lot of us are working long hours these days -- our passion is high -- and our tempers a bit short sometimes -- so we come off as a lil *strong* --

(esp. when you go to some of the sites where a lot of people say this car was the ugliest thing ever produced......of course, I won't comment on them -- or the fact that I'm PLEASED they'll buy a Challenger......)
