What's the main difference between a PD cam and a turbo cam? Thanks

Which one should have it, not have it, or have more of it? Thanks Ted!

Ted, you have addressed this topic a bit already in a previous question of mine but here goes again. If I go with a Procharger, then I concede that the stock LS3 intake manifold will deliver great performance supporting upwards of 1200 RWHP. My only concern is that is looks like a POS.
Do you have any experience with the sheet metal type of intake manifold? I read through a thread here in the Camaro forum about the Holley Sniper, but no one has actually tested it against the stock manifold (that I know of). Just wanted to know if you had an opinion, because as some point I would be willing to give up a smidge of performance for looks, but I wouldn't be willing to give up a 40 hp loss as one reported in the thread.

There are a number of intake manifold tests on the LS3 floating around the internet and you can get a pretty good picture of what to expect by the dyno graphs. In boost it probably won't make a hill of beans, but light throttle performance will be where you notice it most. Ted.

Hello Ted
I will install a throttle body Nick Williams 102mm on my magnuson. I need a new cool air intake. But I find nothing that will go. Can you tell me what to install ? Olivier |

Ted,
This will be a couple of different questions bundled into one. My mods are in my sig, but the reason I'm building the car is for road course / AC. I would like to run on 93 gas and I have no experience with meth, but I don't think its something you can run sustained on the track ( correct me if i'm wrong) I have spoken with some others and it seems like about 600 RWHP is about all you can go without roasting the tires a bunch(once again correct me if i'm wrong). Now on to the questions. What FI is best for my application? why? What additional product would I need? Second - At what point do I need to worry about the tr6060 since its a road racing application? Do I need to upgrade axles, drive shaft and diff? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,

Several of my customers are running this supercharger doing exactly what you're doing. AC and Road course is all about being smooth, acceleration, steering and braking so stock parts will hold up well. Meth injection is not needed but is an option is you want to go beyond 550 RWHP on 93 octane without going into the engine. Fuel system upgrades will be necessary. Feel free to give me a call to discuss your project. Ted.
