but on another note the only people that confuse a gto with a cav. or sunfire are people that crazy. i own a cavalier for a daily driver and it lookes nothing like my friends GTO. theres nothing sporty looking about a cavalier, but the GTO on the other hand looks like a pissed of hornet ready to sting.

one other thing if you were to ride in the back seat of both the camaro and the GTO you would find a big difference in room. the back seat of a GTO actually has leg room for someone over 5'10".

It's not about "confusing" the GTO with a Cavilier, it is about saying that a 400 HP car shouldn't look so blah. I highly doubt anybody who knows anything about cars confuses the two, but they do feel the car should have stood out a bit more for the price tag and the performance level it held.

ill admit they're not the most FLASHY Car out there, But i believe people thought the 68 Chevelle's also looked BLAD and bubbley.

Damn are those 68's one heck of a collector now!!

FWIW i bought my GTO for 28,9XX Brand NEW in June of 2006 with 6 miles on it

From 2004- 2008 I laughed when I saw GTOs. Now I actually find myself admiring them more.

Some things grow on you in time.

Good point (although I wasn't around in 68 to know what people thought about them when they came out) ...

Yeah Pontiac made even bigger cuts than that in price in the early 07 on the left overs.

i agree to a point, my friends is Brazen Orange Metallic and to me it stands out pretty well. but as you said i can see how some would (people who dont know any better) confuse the two. especially if it was a common color.

nice point thats 9k less than i paid for my car and we have the same options.

well not exactly the same options, two different cars, but what i meant was they are both pretty much loaded out.

i was the same way about the camaro when it was introduced. i hated it, now look, i own one. so anythings possible huh.

Okay, Enuf getting along!!! The tread is getting boring!!

My GTO has a hidden Tune if i hold the Traction Control button down for 10 sec's then turn the High beams on and honk the horn twice!!

Maybe all of the GTO's (since there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo many around) that Black5thGen put the smack down on, didnt know this trick!
