I didn't do anything to my car today. Matter of fact, I haven't driven it in a month since I sent my intake manifold to GPI for porting/rod-mod. The current wait time if you send your own in is 6-8 weeks, so I have close to another month before I get it. I should have spent the extra coin and just bought one outright lol.

I am going through withdrawals...

Had to replace my starter, again today. Second one. The original lasted 8 years with the LT's on there, the second one I got from Summit and I'm thinking is was a reman unit, it only lasted 4 years. This new one was an OEM brand new one from GM. While we had the car up on the lifts, I went ahead and finally got my extra ground cable attached to the bell housing and frame, along with the extra one I had already done in the trunk. We also wrapped the starter with a DEI heat wrap. I have to say now when the car is hot and I shut her off, wait a minute or two and start her back up, she starts off really quick now!! Just listening to how the starter spins and how quickly she fires up now, she NEVER even started that quick when she was brand new with NO mods done yet!! I'm impressed. I did it two or three times just to make sure I wasn't dreaming.. lol.

I let it sit and rot in the garage with 35K miles after 8 years, yet another day. Is this really the best thread we got here now?

You kinda answered my question, although I'm not having issues, I installed the battery ground(easy to do) but It looks like I'll have to get under the car for the other ground for the bell housing and frame(I wish the video Gen5DIY put out was better for that though).

I'd say it's a close 2nd. My favorite is the Random Photo thread. I like showing off pics of my Camaros as well as seeing other people's rides.

Somebody need a hug today?
Mine routinely sits two to three months then I drive it and fall in love all over again.
Removed the rear seal under the hood last night and am anxious to try it out.

No sir! Stock GM OEM one my Chevy tech ordered for me. Part number 19418859. What's amazing about it is when you start her up now, it sounds like I have a high torque in there! Even when she is hot!

Yeah when I did the extra battery ground, the only thing that one did was increase the "cold start and warm start". When she was hot and I stopped for gas, or to get a cold drink and came back out, she just had a VERY hard time wanting to start, and sometimes just didn't want to start. Part of it is I think the starter was not happy, and hasn't been for a while, hence replacing it and doing the bellhousing ground and wrap all at once to alleviate any future problems, and hopefully the starter will last longer this time since it is nwe, protected from the heat, and most of all, getting the voltage it needs to work properly!!

Bluebagger06, I think this is the thread that started it all, but there may be one older, but I found this one with a ton of replies.
