Just remember, a lot of the guys have had to do both extra cables, the trunk one AND the bell housing one to get satisfactory results all around. Like I said earlier, the trunk one alone didn't do much for me. Here is the starter wrap I used.

Called the body shop today to see if the car was ready 😞. Been 6 weeks without my car and it sucks. Went to car shows with my daily and it is lame lol. Have a new set of 3 piece forged weld rims waiting to be fitted and have tires and everything ready to mount once I get it back. Car was done in 3 weeks with minor body work but been waiting on a new coil over on the side I hit a curb. Feels like forever since I’ve been in it.

Got that right. The videos on the Tube make it seem like a half day job. I have been washing mine but when I get to the "clay" part, I get lazy and just wax her up. Funny thing is, I have all the machines, pads, polishes, compounds(not sure if it needs it). I got lucky as my car was a garage queen when I bought her and is now. Not a lot of scratches or swirls but I would like to clay and machine polish her but like Risingson05 says, "it's a lot of work". Plus I have 'the nerves", I don't wanna screw anything up. Fit me in after MSgt O, Ok?

My laziness was definitely trying to kick in lol just had to keep telling myself it’s worth it ..look at joes car , I bet he does it !! Lol

Dayum! Joe I’m amazed how you keep your car so clean then.. I would have thought you did the whole 9 yards as you have one of the cleanest cars here .
Shoot!, your one of my inspirations to keep going .

I am using adams 9mm two stage variable speed swirl killer polisher , they explained that I’d have to let it sit their for over 5min plus whit a lot of pressure to even try and burn the paint , so that gave me some confidence to do it ..

I just didn’t expect it would take me 20hrs to get to the point of being ready to apply (dr paint chip ) rock chip fixer . First time trying it but seems to be a good and simple way of fixing rock chips , will post up the results ..

I did a strip down wash , dry car , then adams visco clay bar . Used adams compund and polish along with their polisher ..
Kinda went crazy buying adams products with their sale going on ..

Risingson's car looks great!!And yours does too!! As clean as yours is it wouldn't be that hard of a job. You just have to make the time to do it, and most of all take your time, don't rush it. When I did my Camaro the year before last, it took me all day to get it done! I started around 9 in the morning and finished around 8 that night, just before it got dark. lol. Wanted to get her done in one day since I don't have a garage to protect her overnight to finish it the next day. It was a lot of work, but man was it worth it!! I used a McGuires clay bar kit, and Chemical Guys waxes and polishes to get the "wet shine" on her, along with a random orbital buffer. I too was affraid to "mess up", but the trick is to NOT spend too much time in any one place, just enough to do a good buff with the polish/wax. Before I did the wax/polish I used their V07 sealer on the paint. For the wax I used their Cherry Wet Wax with the orbital. It all turned out really great. Parked next to my friends ZL1 which he ceramic coated that is CRT in color, both cars just glistened in the sun. These pics are from the day after I did it. So if I can do it, anybody can!! Well almost everybody. lol.

This evening project.

Well it all started back in April when I ordered a Nine Lives Racing’s “Big Wang”. There was a hiccup or two since UPS is soooo careful with things and then the back and forth with the claim process ugh!!! So last night the wife helped me (basically took over) the wrapping of a spare deck lid I had stored away. I know it’s not for everyone or think it’s ricer but it’s a functional wing and I road race the car at NCM an in fact I’ll be there for CamaroFest next Thursday. I’ll update after Camaro Fest with more pictures an review.

Please follow up with a review after you have a chance to track it. I am on the fence about adding one of these big wings. If I go that route I would definitely pick up a spare trunk lid to mount it to, so I could take it off when I'm not tracking the car. I think it would have a big impact on a fast track like COTA.

That looks like a well built piece. Is the angle adjustable? Just curious as I have a sprit car background & we always experimented depending on conditions. That was on dirt but the principle is the same.
