Compare price tags.. LT vs Mustang V6 and SS vs GT, not SS vs GT500..

define just right around the corner?

no earlier than 2012 thats for sure

and why wont gm let ford have it for a year? it would be very costly for gm minus just gear changes (those wont require certification). a camswap, or tune, or anything else in the engine would. and unless they had this in the works months (and closer to a year) ago i dont think so.

My point was the statement was flat out wrong.

Unless of course you put conditions on.

Just an observation. At least you're contributing to the topic of conversation.
I love muscle cars, and I enjoy the competition. I have alot to say about Chevy and Ford because I care about their success.

I try to see beyond my brand loyalty and take an impartial point of view when we're not talking about my particular brand or car.

That's silly.

Assuming an apples to apples comparison is not really a relevant "condition".

Just realize the 2010 SS didn't bitch slap a decade worth of mustangs.

It is a much better performer than lower models though.

I could easily sit here and say the GT500 bitch slapped 40+ years of Camaros. But I don't make that statement.

Cant agee with that statement enough. All i care about is the well being of the american 3. Its about time we close our borders and produce and purchase products made in our country. I know alot of parts are produced abroad and my gto is austrailian but it's time for a change.

I don't think forcing americans to buy only certain products is a good thing. I wish our culture/society valued buying from America more but it isn't something I want forced onto me.

While I dont favor complete closed border protectionism, I do think reforms are needed in this country to restore the ability of American companies to build and sell American products.

My views are in general. We need to get manufacturing back here. We cant be at any other countries mercy. Its sad when some of our military weaponary is made in other countries. Im all for free trade but how can american workers compete with labor rates of china.

FYI The 2011 GT has been in production for over a month now infact my 2011 GT500 is already built as of last week but will prpbably take 8 more weeks before delivery. Ford has thousands of new Mustang just parked waiting for public release. This mustang was a production model and the test was accurate. 10 out of 10 times the GT auto walks the L99. Its not magic its physics. L99 300-320whp, 5.0 390+whp and 200lb lighter.

Its Not rocket science just simple math.

If you want to up the Mustang ante with a GT500 then I'll see you one and raise you a ZL575 Camaro.

Big Dan I don't think the 2011 GT will average 390+rwhp dynos.

If they do average say 370-385rwhp that would be pretty damn good.

GM builds the ZL575 Camaro? I'm pretty sure that's an aftermarket car built by SLP.
