Nice pics, RD JEWL! Thanks for sharing. It was great to see everyone who came out on Friday! Prostock69, glad to hear your husband is feeling better, and hoping the docs get it figured out soon!

That does look great, jrhaus! Good to see you guys Friday, too. Hopefully Darth Emma and others will be able to make it one of these weeks!

We went to my brother's for Easter. He's made a lot of progress on our dad's '69, and it looks great! The new seats and interior are in, and polished/new chrome trim replaced, and he even repainted the silver outlining on the speedo and fuel gauge (where the tach is on our cars). He also got some SS-style wheel caps - he still has the original hubcaps but they're pretty trashed. Now he's getting ready to repaint the doors, and after that, the front end, then it'll be ready to drive, although he still wants to do some work on the transmission. So hopefully we'll see him out at KMart with Dad's car soon!

They look great!! What a change in the looks of these cars with only a 1" drop. Amazing!!
HAHA! I like your thinking!

Thanks again for letting us learn on yours, it was the guinea pig! I hope you are happy with it. I only drove a few miles and am loving it! It goes in Friday for the alignment. Poor weather tomorrow and Thursday so I have to push it back!

PS... Kris really likes it too! She was skeptical but I vetoed her and did it anyhow. She approves!

The install is very straight forward and we are really starting to be able to whip these things out. We did mine first and it took about 2.5 hours. We took an hour for lunch at the local Mexican joint. When we returned, with over-full bellies, we were able to get his done in under 2 hours. Both cars look great and the ride quality is awesome. Sure, its a tad rougher but there body roll is greatly reduced and it looks AWESOME!

One thing we noticed with the stock springs is the driver side of my car was about 1/2" lower than the passenger side and Drew passenger side was about 1/2" lower, both on basically level ground.

Drew and I have decided that we will do or help anyone who wants to do this but there will be some cost. Its easy, can be done with the tools we own and we'd need the car about 3 hours tops...

Now for the pics (before followed by after):

Mine

OK... who's next? Paul? Oh.... Paaaaaauuulllll ??

HMMMMmmmmmm? Worried about clearance with the GFX?

Amazing how much 1 inch can make in the appearance. I really want it for the role though.

Windows get tinted on Thursday this week.
There is counseling available for you emma. If you need a referral I can write you one.

Although I bet we can put together a support group from just the folks on here...

We could have saved you a TON of money... We installed the 3 sets of springs and also headers on Drews car... The sways would be easy too. All you would have needed to pay for was a tune at Cincy Speed!

PM showstopper on here and tell him you want one like mine and he will do whatever color scheme you want.

The Indy Pace Car Special Edition Camaro's being sold only through the top Camaro selling Chevy dealers in 2009. Jack Maxton Chevrolet here in Columbus is on the list, as well as Voss Chevrolet in Centerville.

They are also giving me a discount on the header install and the tune. Brandon is taking good care of me.

I bet there will be other times when I would love to take you up on some help with mods!

My list of mods I'm considering after the suspension and headers include:
new rims (just starting to look at those),
borla catback exhaust (that's on hold until I listen to the headers for a while),
cam,
supercharger (that would not be until at least next year),
custom paint work: hood spears, strip on trunk (painted gloss black),
Pfadt bushings
give the Solo XL's a listen for the catback exhaust. They are pretty good if you are going to keep AFM. It's still top on my list. Now if you are going to tune that out, then any catback will work.

now, if I could get my rims in.. DANG IT the delayyyyyyyy!

Still extremely happy with it, and so is Missy. She is just a visual person, really has to see it in person. It was a great learning experience for all.

Newp. GM quit putting the badges on cars sometime last year. Focusing more on the individual brands now, not the company as a whole, especially Cadillac. Everyone at Cadillac even has email addresses @Cadillac.com now instead of @GM.com.

WOW! That seems like a really good price! I look forward to seeing your car when it all done... well they are never done... but you know what I mean.
