Thx man I will have a update on time and date this morning from Ron for dyno! And yes that Thread has made me famous on C5 lol! Way out off control, problem is some aren't reading the whole thing other just to up tight. And a side note may not be hitting the track this week. Rain this whole week out here, but will keep everyone updated as friday comes.

Ideally would like to see some pulls with the stock setup and then switch to the Vararam, like I did when I did my comparison... But I realize not everyone can afford that much dyno time...

Would like to see the hood closed on the pulls though...

I did a base run back in Dec. 247.6rwhp and 221.2rwtq on a mustang dyno! With outside temps in the 60*'s if I recall right. I had the graph but my HP PC crashed and burned with all the info on it! I will see if the shop has this still saved (this shop was in FL that a buddy took me to) since I didn't go for a dyno tune, just regular runs. And was charging extra to keep the info on file in there data base! Veng. not charging much for 3 pulls. I will see about doing 3 open hood and 3 closed hood to compare!

Will be difficult...probably impossible to compare your results on that dyno to the one you will be using for your next run because it is not the same dyno. Don't take that the wrong way...I'm not saying your run will be useless. The more info we have here the better, but won't be an ideal comparison.

Will be interesting to see what your hood closed versus hood up dyno results reveal. Vararam stated (well, maybe it was rolnslo) that there was only ever a 1 or 2 HP difference between hood up and hood closed when they tried it.

I believe Steve stated on the 2nd group buy thread he was hoping to have all 1st order units shipped out by end of this week....don't take my word for it though.

Im soo esited

And yeah the second group buy was to estimated to start shipping out this week, but I highly doubt that theyll finish all their orders this week. Im assuming theyll have it all done and onto the second list by the end of next week or the week after that

See if they have the eddy brake current system option on their 224x dyno. If they do, can they do a loaded run for you too? I'd like to see the difference between a loaded run on an absorption setup vs. an unloaded run on an inertial setup.

Just make sure you are feeding the intake enough air with the hood closed. You can't justify feeding it 10mph airflow from a weak shop fan when your engine is sucking in the air required for 6500 rpms @ 90+mph. We were using a pretty decent 48" industrial fan but I doubt that was even close to what the combo really needed on the dyno.

Something like the 130mph 43ft diameter fan GM has in the wind tunnel at its Aerodynamics Lab should work just fine.
