You said it! What better incentive for GM to get more out of their cars than to have the competition top them. If Nissan can get 332hp out of their 3.7L V6, GM can get more than that from their direct injected 3.6L, if need be.

Camaro still looks tons better than the Mustang, even if it only has 304hp getting 29mpg on the Hwy.

It's still an impressive motor from Ford with impressive fuel economy too. Just don't expect 30mpg with that track pack gear ratio. Glad to see them chunk that POS 4.0L finally!

i like the 10 mustangs, they look great. i was let down to hear the GT had damn near the same HP as before, and that it wasnt really changed anyways. good to hear the 11 will pack a punch like said before, whats the point of fighting over numbers on paper...?? if people really are concerned with performance that much wouldnt they opt for a GT/SS? but if they just want a great looking car that still moves good get a V6?

then again, for the numbers people... im sure you recall all the magazines- "GT500, the corvette killer!". and of course, when they hit the streets and the real numbers were made.... it fell short by far of these claims. still a hell of a car, but im trying to make a point. power to weight ratio is not everything by far

Yeah it was an impulse buy. I bought the car before a Nopi show and this was all I could get the day before the show. I liked them for a while anyways.

Wow from 120/190 in '68 to 305/280 now is pretty awesome. Hopefully this sparks up some more rivalry between the Mustang and Camaro. I really don't think the 2011 Stang is going mop the floor with the Camaro since Ford is barely catching up performance wise but it will make it a lot more interesting next year. IMO Ford should have waited for the redesign of the body to accompany the new engines. Offering a performance package for the V6 is pretty interesting since it contains parts of the GT Track Pack. As for looks the Camaro still has the mustang beat :( I would probably only take new mustang with the 2011 front end ( really liking those front brakes scoops or w/e they are) and with a 2010 rear kit that Saleen brought to sema I hate that fake gas cap on the new stangs

+1 to that entire post, I agree with it all except for waiting on the release of the engines. I have been chomping at the bit for the new engines. If they didn't come out in 2011 I was going to buy a Camaro SS.

I actually like it. When I first saw them on the 05s, I wondered if they were functional. My 65 had one, it was ugly under there. Gas and that ring they attached it to the car with made it a haven for paint problems.

Ohh I meant for the new body to wait until 2011 not for the new engines,so both the body and engines would be brand new. But yea I cant wait to see what they come up with for the V8 in the GT, Coyote please!!
