Hey becky do the cars get railheaded at the factory or shipped by truck to the US to be railheaded. My dealer just called said he called and the car is on a train somewhere in illinois on the way to Mesquite Texas. They told him it would be at the dealership sometime end of next week. Just wondering if it was rolling down the rail or in a lot again waiting to be railheaded.

My understanding is that if they are being shipped by rail, they leave from
the factory. In some cases, the cars do get truck, but they go direct to the
dealer. Mine sometimes come by truck, but I'm fairly close being just outside
Detroit. So I'll tell you that the car left Oshawa by rail and will end at a distribution point where it will be put on a truck to the dealer. Hang in there, it's just like waiting for Santa when you were 6!! Merry Christmas

No Becky your wrong..... When i was 6 i cold wait for my parents to leave then carefully unwrap the presents see what they were and wrap them again...this sucks...lmao
But i guess if she is in illinois then it must be rolling along headed to her home then.

Becky can you check PHNG7X. Chevrolet.com says it is shipped and enroute. Camarotracking still shows bayed. I called my dealer and they say it shows bayed as of the 17th and that was the last day the plant was open and it will sit there for 3 weeks until after the holidays. If that's the case my wife ain't gonna b happy!

I can't track the car past production. The plant is still
open and will be til the last shift of 12/23. As far as I
know, cars will still ship. I'm pretty sure you'll have a
happy wife. Stay in contact with your dealer, they can
give you the most up to date info.

Thanks for the quick reply. My dealer told me it has been built but not when it was built or shipped if at all or where it is now. I am getting really anxious and my dealer isn't providing too much help other than just saying it's built. He says he can't get an exact location on it and says:

"To add to my confusion, I have 2 shipped dates, the 17th and 18th. I am thinking that it was just input twice. I also have it showing in a shipping bay. Problem is that I think they all input independently. So I am going with the shipping of the 17th. I can't get a definitive location at this time."

Whatever in the world that means. Maybe you could possible make sense of that for me. Is there any more info you can provide me with? Or anything else I could do to get more info?

The event date of VIN was 12/16...

Ask your dealer to call the
Dealer Business Center
for a "Status Update""..

That will get the current info
