Im not in my 2010 anymore, but i had a issue of lack of power after i had ran 93 octane fuel, and did the fuse pulling..
What worked for me was unhook battery for awhile, and whola power like it suppose to .But then ya gotta reset things like radio and window detent, but no big deal
Why pulling fuses didnt fix, im not sure.. Was going to investigate , and study the fueling, but got rid of car after transmission issues..
Also had a weak mass air flow sensor in my 2010 i had to replace, after i installed CAI

yeah, that MAFS needs to be a strong one for the car to meet its full potential.

Ok thanks. I'll give it a little time. Then try fuses again. I'd like to get the exhaust back to louder again. It is noticeably quieter. Good deep tone but not as loud as it was. And get the pep back into the car. I lost it all. Lol. Shuda left it alone. But curiosity got the best of me.

If you think there was low octane in your tank then do it. Won't hurt and its easy

Although he never heard of this and he's been with the dealership for 15 years, my service writer told me I could pull fuses or just leave the positive cable off all night. Either way it won't hurt the car. He also looked for any bulletins mentioning this and couldn't find anything.

Is it a pretty noticeable difference before and after if it was an issue?

I'm trading my 2LT for a 2SS tomorrow.

yes, it's noticeable -- first by a rough idle, then by the exhaust note, then by the giddy-up.

but run a couple of premium fuel tankfuls, pull the fuses over night (if you unplug the battery you'll have to reset your radio), and you should be good.

If there is absolutely zero difference, check your MAFS to make sure it's a strong one (you want a number AND a letter on the MAFS).

Good luck and enjoy the 2SS -- it can be a beast.

Thanks.

We only have 91 available around here....92 if I travel 20 miles for filling up. I'm not keen on 40 miles every time I need fuel.

Tried this on my 2011 SS. First time I waited 8 hours, and it didn't work. Second time waited 24 hours and the beast finally woke up!

Can you say unleash the power!!!!

I bought my car the next morning after unloading off the truck so I thought no way would the dealer put 87 in her..

Last night I did the fuse pull just to see and man what a difference..

1. Started right up instantly, no pause like start...
2. I can hear the engine working now
3. way more power, beyond just a little noticeable...

Just tried this myself, let the car sit about 16 hours w/ those 2 fuses pulled... really hard to say whether it pulls harder or not... it seems like it does, but the difference is slight, so I may chalk it up to placebo effect for my own car.

Either way, it costs nothing to try.
