I know, but every car takes on a 'persponality'. Or Reputation so to speak.

Smaugs is stealth and meaness. Dark and mysterious. And it becomes who 'we' are. We as in our 'coupled' personas. Coupled with the car that is.

I am very recognizable from a distance with my car. And so would YOU be. If I saw your car driving up with the shiny wheels on it, I wouldn't know who it was.

Ok............ Chris is gonna come in here and tell me I'm overthinking stuff again.

True. I asked Tony if I could get a set of the Forgelines with a black lip instead of the chrome lip. The thing is, he has a special deal with them (I mean a really sweet price) on those wheels, but there are no substitutions allowed. But, he's going to find out what it would take to get them in all black. If that can't be done, then the search will continue.

I could just get a pair of the Foreglines in 18 I suppose for DRs. But, I really have no idea how I'd get them to the track or get them on/off the car. I'll ask the guys at IPS how they do it.

You can get some Tire Totes so you keep you and your car clean, one can go in the trunk, one can go in the back seat.

Then just have a little 1 3/4 or 2 ton jack, electric impact, and you are good to go!

I just got an email from Nine Ball. He says Forgeline will do the outer lips in black (for a fee of course). But, I'll still be able to get in on the special and have wheels that are all black. Woot!

Now I have to get up my courage to take the plunge.

I haven't looked at USW. I am looking at the Forgeline because Nine Ball has worked out a special deal with them (I refuse to spend $6k on wheels again). Nine Ball also says the Forgelines are excellent performance wheels.

Off to look at the USW site... Who was your bendor, Kelly?
