So far about 12 of the 25 Camaro Festival cars have been sold by area dealers, at least one for $5K over sticker. Five of them will be re-decaled for the Brickyard 400. Roger Penske bought #1 for himself.

With the factory and dealerships closing, maybe they will be one of them.... One can only hope.
The problem is, some foolish rich person with more money than sense will buy it, and Hubler will be triumphant.

That's the dealers perogative to price his cars like that, but if I see stuff like that I keep going this is what GM is realizing and doing something about now
even though it won't be effective until later next year or so,obviously someone might be willing to pay that price and that's their business, but overpricing cars drives more potential customers away from probably even looking at other models,do these dealers think they're only selling Camaro's HELLO your representing GM,selling 10 or 20 camaro's over sticker is not going
to save your dealership or GM in the long run, people are already reluctant to
step into a Chevy-GM dealer as it is now,I went back to the same dealer I got 2 other chevy's from because they sold me the car or truck at a fair price
and one of those was a lemon, that GM gave me a hard time with, and I still buy GM,so GM give the loyal customers like myself and potential future customers a reason to go into your dealerships and keep buying your cars and trucks.

This dealer is insane and I will NEVER go there to do any business. There are actually several dealers in Indianapolis selling at MSRP and honoring GMS. If you live in Indy stay away from Hubler Chevrolet on US31.
Only serves to underscore the adage of patience being a virtue.

There'll come a day when a nicely outfitted 2SS, manual or automatic, you just can't go wrong here, is available at or below MSRP for spot delivery.

I can see paying slightly more for a pace car since they are numbered but 71k is insane. The best deal so far on one of these cars appears to be 5k over MSRP at a dealer right by my house. Unfortunately, I think Hubler is a high volume dealer. They are right in the middle of a very busy strip. I saw a ZR1 there with a sold sign on it. I would hate to know what someone paid for that. I also heard they sold their first two camaros for 15k over sticker....they make me sick.

What is truly sad is someone will probably pay that for one of those cars.

There is a reality here that a properly documented car used at Indy will hold on to value better than common cars. Whether that is a realistic price is debatable.

So we will laugh it off, but it will still happen.

I just could never bring myself to pay anything over sticker. But the collector side of me says otherwise, depending on the price.

Thats a new record. Old record was an manual SS with RS, no other installed options for 56k. Not even any... stickers.

Ohhh... but if it really is the 'official' Indy pacecar???

No it is a Indy 500 festival car. It has stickers on it and that's about it....the real pace car was actually painted red up by the grill.
