Thanks bud.. DSS stuff moves so easily off the shelf that it's not a hard sale. Frank and I have been working together for a long time now.

Thanks

I think its great that you guys are doing so well in business! Im just more upset at the fact that the site I got them from said in red letter: IN STOCK. That is telling me that they can reach over the shelf and physically touch them. I wasnt planning on doing this install because I have plans for a ZL1 diff in the summer, but then this Camaro get together formed and was doing a little racing, I wanted quick assurance I wouldnt break on the first pass. I guess Ill just stick to stock axles and tires. I was hoping for 11.8. Now I guess ill shoot for a 12.4??

There is no answer on what can break. Wheel hop is the main culprit. Subframe connectors rear trailing arms should take care of that. As far as what breaks, read this, its pretty damn accurate

Ya, I have that article favorited on my computer and frequent it often. I went ahead and kept the axles on order. I decided I will eventually put a tru trac in the stock diff and throw some billet caps in there. That should hold my power level just fine, especially since I dont race besides this one time. Thanks for everyones help!

according to hot rod magazine:

Halfshafts break (wheelhop, 500 to 600 hp):
The more severe the wheelhop, the sooner the drive axles break. The stock computer calibration limits axlehop, but that also limits performance. Knowing when to back off the throttle is the cheap fix, followed by lighter-weight wheels and tires (because they have less inertia), and ultimately stouter aftermarket axles.

nice write up, this is why we changed the design on our axles a bit ago (1000Hp ones) to give give the wheels the correct amount of deflection between them.

also being most of these cars are also daily driven we changed to using the top of the line Neo grease in them for longer life.

in stock form, im very impressed with how they have held up.

I am also equally impressed that aftermarket axles can withstand '1000' hp. Much props to that
