Very nice, second best color available in 2011 IMO

For a 2 mile commute I'd put the winter tire budget into a beater or a pair of snow shoes and keep that baby in the garage and out of the salt

That would be nice, but even though the office is 2 miles from work, on a regular basis I will be commuting to client locations, so still need to be able to drive. Plus, we are in a condo complex so can only have 2 cars. My wife is also getting a job only about a mile away from home, so when we can we are going to carpool in her Outback to reduce winter exposure.

We are in located in central NH, so lots of snow for us.
