Alright, 3/24s, it's time for you to step up and start poppin' some VINs this Tuesday. Oshawa usually starts up on the midnight shift tonight, so they will be building your cars tomorrow! Good luck everybody. Hopefully with another 400 cars per day coming out of there they'll have to get some of those cars they built last week on rail cars.

Mo' Camaros. It's a beautiful thing!

My car built 3/17 sits waiting for a rail car. Apparently, the rail car shortage is real.

Is it rail car shortage, or shortage of vehicles to put on those rail cars? My guess is they wait to fill the entire rail cars with vehicles that are going to specific geographical locations, ie. all the Georgia Camaros in this car, all the NY Camaros in this car, etc.

The train leaves with all the rail cars fully loaded and they switch out the entire set of vehicles on a "whole" rail car as needed based on location.

Doesn't make much sense to pull a train away from the plant full of half empty rail cars. But then again what do I know.

Anyway, I'm in MI, my car doesn't have too far to go.

Hard to believe that if they are building 400 cars per day they can't fill up a rail car for the Ohio distribution center. Anyway, my salesman checked again today and the message is, "still sitting in Oshawa".

On a positive note, I wanted to see the deal confirmed for tomorrow's closing and he sent me a copy of their "buyers order" which lays out the sell price, trade-in, rebates, doc and title fees, taxes and my final difference. I am very happy with this dealer as everything is as expected, no surprises. No problem with my stacking of rebates BTW. I will buy the car sight unseen tomorrow to ensure March rebates. Oh, and they're even going to let me drive my trade until the new car comes in. So, it's all good.
