Booth sound great man! I voted silver- lower mileage, better color. Plus you get a short-throw shifter.
However, the Pewter is PP (which I typically prefer over a used dealer) and seems like it has been really cared for. Tough call man, I'm sure either will be great cars! Keep us posted!

loudmouth 1 is the worst exhaust ever.... just a glorified straight pipe with a resonator the loudmouth 2 comes in 2nd place, because it just adds a cheap muffler to the above system. but to each their own.... nothing is "wrong" with the slp lid.... just gmht did a lip comparison many years ago, and i think slp put out one of the lowest (if not THE lowest, which if i remember correctly, it did) numbers. I think it compared like 10 or so of the most mainstream aftermarket lids. and any sane person knows that a blackwing lid > slp lid. lol. if anything you can sell the blackwing lid and buy at least 4 or 5 slp lids.

So yes.... I believe one is mentally unstable, should they go with the car with the exhaust that gets sold for $200 used because no one wants it, over the one with the exhaust, in which just the EXHAUST TIPS alone still sell for $400+..... so even if the OP did like the loudmouth.... he/she could sell the centermount kit, buy a loudmouth, and still put 500+ in his/her pocket Or just rock one of the rarest exhaust/lids on a 4th gen

I'm sorry.... but saying you'd rather have a loudmouth, over a center mount exhaust (even if it is cme tips on a loudmouth catback) is like saying you'd rather drive a volvo, than a ferrari. LMFAO. I do love how this thread has turned into a giant argument about LM exhaust rather than trying to help with JaxJags dilemma.
Personally I prefer the look of the Pewter, but as for choosing I think it's more along the lines of which feels better and which you think will hold up best in the long run. IMO since you thought the '00 drove better, it might be a better fit for you; those 4 owners could have all treated it like their prized possession (which I know I would!) And just to throw my opinion in to the mix, I prefer the LM I over some of the more expensive cat-backs. To each his own, eh?

Both are sweet rides. Personally I would go with the 00 Pewter But, it's going to be your car, so really you can only ask yourself "which one do I look better in and like more??"

lol. Pewter was very nice in person, but the 2002 seems like a car you don't come across often.

im the 6th owner of my car, and my carfax was nothing but maintenance and title changes. i think there was only 300 miles driven between the 3rd and 5th owners. most of my carfax summed up to my car being in and out of auctions for the majority of its life. other than a new exhaust its had no major repairs since ive had it, and i feel quite lucky considering its been through 5 other owners and it looks and feels like im the 2nd.
i guess overall if the carfax check out, then you should be good to go |

one thought, if you need to repaint it's very difficult to color match bumpers. the '02 does have some nice options tho.
the '00 should have the LS6 mani also.
