I was thinking the same thing....... that you couldn't powder coat the intake because it isn't metal and wouldn't withstand the 400 degree of baking neccessary. But apparently this company has it figure out. They do alot of work in the corvette community. http://www.peakspeedshop.com/PowderCoat.php Last edited by Moreno1; 02-18-2012 at 10:25 AM. |

I did what alot of other guys here have done.
But I routed the wires where it splits around the oil fill cap to what I believe is a better position. Also mounted the evap solenoid to the ECM tower which I haven't seen anyone else do yet.

haha... The hood seems to do a great job of that. I was installing my maggie last weekend and was amazed at how clean the engine was considering that I had never actually cleaned it before

Well, I got my flat black powder coated polish and ported throttle body today. I actually mail them my last Wednesday and received it today. Great turn around time.
I installed it and the car ran great. But I'm not sure if I feel any difference on the throttle response on the butt dyno. I order 4 ARP stainless blot to replace the OEM. I guess at least it will look good, LOL. |

I got mine back together today got the second T/B and the valve covers back from powder coat. Installed the headers while it was down got some Russell classic black traded hose and re routed the oil catch can hoses. Cleaned up the wiring on the passenger side and for the coils. Also installed a set of JBA 8mm plug wires and a set of pulstar adi1 iridium plugs. No problem with the T/B this time. I'v got a polished cover for the brake fluid reservoir and a billet tentioner pulley on the way, and a few other things to get after that. Oh and add a 3 piece front and fender filler panels and yea I'm going to black out around the rubber hood stops.
