Just thought I would post this up, since this was a question of mine in the beginning...
But the car will officially be a SS/RS. Here is the quote from the fbodfather on, well, another Camaro website  I have the thread link if anyone is interested:"It is an SS/RS -- SS is the model -- RS is an option on the model."

It's interesting. I've always known the first gens as RS/SS, but the SS badge did take precedence.
