MY GAWD that is one pretty car. I know this is the Camaro5 forum...but that car is hot. Respect goes out to that one.

Still buying a Camaro, but I respect that car. I will be getting a ride in a convertible one of these shortly. Darker blue though. A friend purchased one, just waiting for it to get built at Shelby.

It states they used a DynoJet in the article. Still impressive numbers!

Yes, the article says DynoJet,. I was looking at the graph and at the bottom it said "MD Automotive". I mistook the name of the shop for the type of dyno they were using. My bad.

I still say it's funny that some of the same people who consider the GT500 out of their price range will be the same people who turn right around and spend in excess of $10K on modification to get their Camaro SS to make it faster.

True but then a Camaro V8 starts right above 31k (including DSF) so that 10K will get you up there for sure but not at 47k. Plus what if you wanted an auto?? Cant happen with the GT500.

Plus I think 10k is a little high to get up in the 500 HP range. Heads, cam, intake and tune should get you there. Of course this is bench dynoing but it should only cost around 5-6k.

Back to the Mustang. Godly. Just great. I still love the look of the GT500 cars and they always make me turn my head when I see them. The blue just sets off the lines on it far better than I would though. Too bad that cheap plastic on the bottom of the car is still there on their top of the line car.

Thats cool and all but just think what would happen if GM was making a supercharged version on the Camaro. MY god it would do damage.

Nice but it's still a mustang and you still need to buy on of the 50 million different types of versions of this car to get hp that should be offered at the avg joe range. yawnnnnnnnnnnn

The 2010 is very affordable, I paid $45,000 just a little over invoice for mine. I think both the Camaro and the GT500 are both a lot of car for the money and I love the styling on both. The big plus is that all of these enhancements on the 2010 are all covered by Warranty. If you mod a car yourself you could invalidate your coverage.

I just can't ever see myself paying that much for a mustang. I paid 49,000 for my porsche back in 02 and there's no way I could ever consider a mustang to be in that class let along pay that much for one. The most I will ever be willing to pay for a stang is 34000 tops and even then thats pushing it.

What's your point? Others are not offering this class of car at all.
