I change my oil in all my 4 vehicles every October no mater what the mileage is. 2 that get stored in the winter and the other 2 that get driven year round.

Maybe I am the crazy one here but... It sounds like alot of ya'll barely drive your Camaros... I can't wait to get up and drive mine to and from work everyday. I change my oil about every 6 months or so depending on the miles I put on her. I did buy a second vehicle to avoid putting TOO MANY miles on my baby. I also live in FL which means I can drive my car every day of the year, I've never lived in a snow state so I guess I don't know what its like to not drive my car any day I want.

Oil change frequency, for me it's every 3500 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. Even on my wives 2015 Subaru Forester that uses the 20k mile motor oil, gets an oil change once a year regardless of mileage. For me, piece of mind knowing that the lubrication is always clean and fresh is cheap insurance for long lasting cars.

Wow!! Another person who thinks like me!! Awesome. I drove my Camaro for 9 years straight every day to and from work and everywhere in between. Changed the oil every 3500 miles regardless, and still do, or 6 months, which ever comes first now. I too bought a second vehicle 2 years ago so I didn't have to put so many miles on my baby as well. I too am a firm believer in clean oil, and all the other fluids. Keep them clean and fresh and things will last much longer. My oil changes are free still, and have been along, so why not...

change it.
mine has only gone 200 miles since i changed it last october. but i'm changing it on sunday just before i close it down for the winter. the car is telling me to change it.
i dont like the idea of it sitting with contaminated oil.
if you are closing your car down for the winter change it.

I love to drive the Camaro, but I work from home and my wife hates the car, so I only get to run errands and go to appointments with it. Now I have the vert that my daughter wanted to get rid of so she could buy an F150 and that gets hardly any miles too although my wife will drive that. First world problems.

I change my oil every 3k or so or after a couple track days just to be on the safe side, but I don't worry about how old it is.

It's not 1965, oils are wayyy better now. Especially synthetics.

The Vette owner is right.

in that situation, for peace of mind, I would change it annually. the oil is fine I'm sure, but then I'm anal about changing the oil.

I change oil every super bowl Sunday in the Camaro and Suburban. The Sub gets about 6K yearly. Camaro last year IIRC was 98 miles.

Most oil manufacturers recommend 1 year max drain interval. Even the “ good for 20k” stuff.

If your miles are low enough for just an annual oil change, do it right before, not right after winter storage.

Last year and this year both, mine went less than 500 a year. I change it in October or November. Normally I can drive year around except for a couple of minor snow storms. They don’t use much salt here so that’s not a issue. I just don’t drive it much, especially now that the current car only 3200 miles on it. I want to get 3M paint film and ceramic coating on the paint before I drive it much more, well that and it’s still got the original P-zeros on it from 2009. They have been climate controlled garage kept their entire life but I don’t want to risk it too much even though they probably are fine.
