In my opinion the 5th gen Camaro (2010-2013 MY) will not depreciate bad because people still like the look compared to the 2014 which will be close in look to the 2016 according to the renders. From what I am seeing on renders, my next car will most likely be the Mustang if they improve it in 2016 but if the next camaro drops 500 pounds with a 350-375 hp v6, I might be tempted

Exactly right.

Short term (20 years or less) outdated electronics = diminished value.

Long term (40 years or more) outdated electronics = cool cache.

I don't expect to be around 40 years from now (age 102!!!) so maybe a Gen 5 to Gen 6 trade is in the works.

Drove by the Ford dealer yesterday, they had 10 2015 Mustangs sitting on the front row. Not one person was looking at them...

We'll I guess if I don't see a S550 by the end of the month, I'll go by a Ford dealership on a Sunday and check it out.

Either way they will hold value to certain people but for trade in not so much. If you like the Gen5 over the 6 or vise versa only time and demand will tell. Not a big fan of the 14 frontends but like the rears so will wait and see what the 6gen come out to be.

I expect my car to go up at least 4,000 when the new body style comes out.

Yeah I'm not concerned either. My 5th gen performs with the best of the best so I'm keeping her for a while. Plus the one year only body for the 1LE makes it even cooler.

The '15 is definitely a polarizing design. It's a lot better in person than in pics, but I think Ford screwed the pooch by taking all the options (worth anything) off the V6 trying to get people to buy the EcoBoost. What I'm seeing in dealer inventory, at least for now, is either the stripped base model or completely loaded up Eco and GT. Which is seldom what people want. And a few of the dealers here are already discounting. The 'all the way' interior is quite nice... but anything short of that still has some cheap in it. Pretty good pricing out there on leftover '14s.

I have seen a few of the new mustangs, and to me they look too organic, or too Euro. I think the styling took a big step backwards. They stripped the badness away. I expect Chevy to follow suit to some degree, but time will tell.

i think the 5th gen will take a hit, on all trim levels, accross the board generally. like any model car when the new ones come out, peeps want to be the first ones on the block with new models. electronics, engines, safety features all improve. its just the nature of the beast. i dont care as i plan to keep my car, i am happy with it despite what the 2016 may look like or offer. i still like the looks of the 13 vette despite the 14 new body style. dealer in town here cant give away the 13 vettes sitting on the lot, but good deals to be had if a person wants one.

i think the folks on here who have the ZL1 and 1 LE models should really hold on to those cars, given how pricey they are, and not sure what the 2016 models will be when they are released.

Will it take a hit? KBB value on my 2012 2ss was around $30,500 around april-june ..... 2 mths ago it was 28,000 .... And Now kbb is $26,500 i believe ...

Ive been trying to sell my car since pretty much the beginning of the year... At this point i think im just going to keep it, that drastic of a price drop is not worth it for me... So i cant imagine how bad it will be when 6th gen is announced.

Definitely, not true! The 4th Gens value hit the ground because they were not wanted like the mustang's of that day! The 4th Gen is most ppl least favorite out of all the Gen Camaro's
