Close race.
My bone stock 06 GTO auto ran 13.3 @ 105 mph for its best stock time. GTO has a very soft suspension and likes to wheel hop/spin leaving the line. The GTO also has skinnier rear tires. The L99 A6 Camaro gets off the line better (smoother with less wheel hop issues). From a roll -around 35 mph (GTO is slow). Its 4 speed Auto has a really bad/weak spot around 35 mph. Definite advantage to the L99 A6 down around 35 mph roll. GTO auto likes 60-65 mph roll. That puts the GTO in its sweet spot in 2nd gear. It pulls really hard from a roll from this starting point. L99 A6 likes a 40-45 mph roll. That puts the L99 is its sweet spot in 2nd gear. L99 pulls hard from this starting point. Dig - very close - car that hooks the best will win. 35 mph roll - Camaro wins 45 mph roll - Camaro wins (puts the A6 right in its sweet spot in 2nd gear) 55 mph roll - GTO wins (like I said, 55-65 mph puts the A4 right in its the sweet spot in 2nd gear) 65 mph roll - GTO wins (pulls like a beast from 65 mph - drops to high rpms in 2nd gear) 75 mph roll - Camaro wins 85 mph roll - Camaro wins |

Stock for stock GTO loses. Stick on tires, new tranny, best ever times, from a roll... yada yada. GTO had limitations STOCK - pizza cutter tires, slush box, shitty suspension, heat soak. Still loved the car, owned two, but Camaro is far superior and will win.

Gearing in the A6 gets the win by half a car.
