I also thought a stealth version would be killer on the competition. People would have no idea until it was too late. On top of that, it also makes it less likely to get stolen if no one knows what really lies under the hood. I hope they let the buyer choose. I would like the obvious suspension, brake, etc, upgrades, but also a special hood, spoiler (maybe), badging, and stripe/s (if offered). I'm not talking a completely different car or anything. Just something to say, "Let me show you what your GT500 CAN'T do!"

I like the looks of the 'vert, but I'll take a coupe please.
And, 'Z28' will be the "top dog" once again. |

HA! I like the way this is going! Now it's getting good. As far as the SS name, GM uses that waaaaaaaay too much. Everything is now an SS and that rubs me the wrong way. They should save that for the top of the line. But, we all know how GM is; they keep suprising us with everything. Moose sounds pretty sure, there. Take the bet. I wanna see who wins!

I would be very very suprised if the SS doesn't return as the top package for the Camaro. It just would not make sense from a marketing perspective otherwise. Those of us who actually know that at one point in time the SS was NOT the top dawg are relatively few in numbers. The greater majority of soon-to-be Camaro owners view the SS at the best of the best Chevy has to offer becasue of their recent marketing campaigns. |

I admit, "SS" Camaro to me meant "top dog" as well.
That being said, as I've heard it said and seen it written, "any Chevrolet can be a "SS", but only a Camaro can be a "Z28". If you look back in time, the "Z28" has alot of history attached to it, re; Trans Am racing. Therefore, I see Chevrolet naming the "top dog" "Z28" and tying that history into the new "top dog". |
