I have a lot of people do it because they want to see the car up close. They pull into the lot, it catches their eye and they are like a moth to a flame. Nothing rude or bad intended, the car is smokin hot, looks fast and they want the up close and personal look at it.

I have been around enough teenagers and other people who have talked about how they do this just to "piss that dude off" without realizing I am "that dude". Sure, some may have other motives, but they haven't bragged about it quite as bad as the group I'm talking about in their trashed out 80's and 90's models Toyota Camrys and Ford Exploders. I wish they could be more inventive with how they get their jollies. Next time I catch one doing it to me I'm going to Suran Wrap their car shut like we would do to get our jollies when we were their age.

I've had my car almost 3 years, and it still annoys the hell out of me. She's still perfect, so why wouldn't I want her to stay that way???

They hate it that you have a great car and think you're a snob for parking way out and then they park next to you "just to show YOU"!

it happened to me this morning. i went to Walgreens pharmacy and parked towards the back of the lot. went in got what i needed and got back in my car. as soon as i started it, this old lady (mid to late 70s) in an old minivan comes flying into the spot on my right side and screeches to a halt with barely even a foot between our cars. i looked at her and asked her if she was serious and booked it out of there because she started to open the door because she prob didnt hear me. if i would have came out 1 minute later i would have found a dent in my door

On the other hand, if I see a Camaro parked in the lot I'm parking in, I'll park my pickup next to them simply to prevent some other moron from parking there and dinging it up. You never know - it could be another Camaro enthusiast in their beater keeping you safe.
I came out to a cool wingman the other day, a 64 Ford Galaxie with the big ol bubble hood scoop (think it's called a thunderbolt). There's an older Camaro that parks by me occasionally, a customer in his CTS will park guard for me when he shops in our store, and the kid I work with that has a 06 mustang parks about 3 spaces out from me hoping for some cool to rub off... My boss even started parking her prius out in the outfield with me. I know there's folks out there who are parking pricks but so far in my neck of the woods it's all Camaro love. |
