I'm on my 2nd L99. Camshaft, valve springs and a tune. Only making like 350 to the wheels. Pathetic.

Same basic question for the group. I've had my 2010 SS A6 for 4 months now (had a V6 for 3 years). Bought it bone stock with 50k miles. Below are the done list and the upcoming mods. Working with GPI who will do the installs (I live in LR). How's this look for a NA daily drive?

Installed:
-Stainless Works LTH w/ high flow cats, X-pipe, stock mufflers
-Vararam CAI w/ power wedge
-Soler 95mm PTB

Ready to install/modify in a few weeks at GPI:
-GPI SS3 Cam VVT, AFM delete
-Chevrolet Racing LS7 Lifters
-CHE trunnions
-Ported cylinder heads
-Circle D 4C 3600-3800 Stall
-AAM 3.91 gear
-Transmission cooler
-Mishimoto catch can

Any suggestions on what to consider as well? Will keep this NA more than likely.

Thanks!

I have those lifters and I hate the way they sound. There so damn loud I'm going to pull the valve covers off tomorrow to check the valve train. I would recommend getting the Johnson lifters from GPI. They cost more and all but I'm just giving you a heads up.

Morepowerjoe, thanks for the heads up on the lifters. I'll probably make the swap as you recommend. Thanks much!

No problem. I just hate for you to make the same mistake I did and since your running a bigger cam I think it would be a wise decision. Also be sure and post some pictures of it running when you get it back or any dyno runs. Good luck 👍

You should hit 460 whp+ with those mods.

Army, if you are gonna spend all that coin I would also add GPI's ported/rod modded intake manifold that will get you about 15RWHP, and since you have a 2010 with hydraulic steering, upgrading to an underdrive pulley will gain you 8 RWHP.

LCPL, great points, was wondering about the rod mod. I sent James at GPI a note asking about it. Might save that for another day since I'm pretty well max'd out on current build budget, but definitely interested in getting that done. Seems like underdrive pulley wouldn't be too much to add though. Thanks for the advice. Nice car btw!

Thanks! I'd definitely at least do the pulley during the install because it's a pain to remove/replace, whereas the manifold isn't too bad.

I just pulled the trigger on the Powerbond UDP. No added labor cost with the Cam install so a no brainer. Thanks for recommending!

Sure thing! I've had that exact one sitting in a box in my living room for almost 2 years...I'm still debating on whether or not to install it with my current mods, or do it with a cam install....IF I ever do a cam install.

Ok, added Rod Mod too, LoL. Much cheaper than I thought. Really appreciate your inputs! Have a great weekend!
