I plan on a 3200 Stall and 3.73 gears but not ready to drop the tranny just yet probably just before summer when I'm driving it a little more. Any advice on what else to do while I got her opened up? I currently have LTH, Catback CAI and tune.

Also look into a 4200 instead of a 3200. 3200 stalls work well with a stock cam.

Agreed with Bo on this one for sure!! I have the TSP Stage 3 in my Camaro and ran a 3200 for 3 years and it was just not enough stall for the car. I listened to a few guys on here and went CircleD 5C 4200 Pro series single disc and let me tell you, what a HUGE difference it made in the cars performance!! Wow. Like Bo said, 3200 is good for a stocker.. Good luck with your build.

I would bet the 6l80 eats 15% or more on drivetrain loss, where as the tr6060 is 10% or less. Any L99 above 450whp should move out nicely.

Yes sir, my L99 Camaro with the 4200 stall gets off the line pretty quickly!! I really need to put the DR's on so I can get better traction, but for now, I just feather it then romp on it. Also because she gets going so quickly, I haven't done the 3.91 gear swap yet, kinda thinking I really don't need to... She's just plain quick.

GPI max kit has been putting L99s at around 500 wheel iirc. I have a TSP stage 2 now and love it but wish I had gone F35 cam and saved for some PRC 260 heads. That combo with a mid/high runner intake manifold would be close to 500 as well.

487rwhp on the local Dynojet. My buddy runs that combo and loves it. The F35 with the PRC 260s work very well with each other. He has moved to a mid runner since his dyno so it will be close.

Yeah should definitely be over that 500 mark with that mid runner. I want the same but with the holley high ram. Do you know what your buddy is shifting at?

I’ve seen the LOD intake pop up a lot here this past year and that may get put on my list of things to do. High ram performance without cutting the hood! I wonder how much torque I’ll give up though... should put me closer to the 500 mark.

Edelbrock Pro Flo fits stock hood too for a fraction of the cost.

True there is the hood fitment, but if you look at the price point, you can get a Hi-Ram and a cowl hood for a comparable price. But with the Hi-Ram you also lose a windshield wiper, so weigh it all in. As for torque, I lost 18 ft/lbs, but the car picked up over a tenth in the quarter after this intake went in. Thats with the 90mm TB and stock heads. Expecting a hair more when I get everything ported and port matched.

I would also jump to a stage 3 or 4 cam right away. I have the VVT stage 2 GPI and it is a radical change from stock but I am already looking into a stage 3 or no fly cut stage 4. Also get at least a 3800 converter. I'll be sending mine to get refreshed to a 3800 or 4k at some point.
