Not really

In a way
Do I have to challenge a mod to single combat and then chop off his head Highlander style and then the Quickening imbues me with his mod power?
We considered that, but our legal department couldn't find a way to legitimize it. Also, the moderator that was to accept each Challenge was Camarospike23 ... and so we would never get another new mod
Or do I have to bring said head to the next super secret mod meeting?
The instructions would have been provided at the time & place of the Challenge.
Does anyone know the best way to store a head so it wont stink or leak blood everywhere?
Again, the instructions would have been provided at the time & place of the Challenge.
We only look for new mods when we start to feel overburdened, and that is not the case right now. There are a number of qualities that we look for in mods. How have they helped the site/membership, how do they conduct themselves, are they knowledgeable (or at least smart enough to not talk out of their ass all the time), how often are they on the site, what (if any) infractions do they have, and a few other things. Modship isn't given out as a reward, or to cover specific topics (although we all have areas that we tend to hang out in). All in all, we want good people that we can count on to keep the site running well.

Also, bribery can help. Its the only form of pay that we get for moderating. But here's the catch: if you don't give each of us enough or give far too much (the 'bracket' is subject to the discretion of each individual moderator and never written down or shared) you will be black listed and every post you make will be scrutinized until we have a justifiable means to ban you permanently. Thus far, to the best of my knowledge, nobody has successfully bribed their way onto the Camaro5 staff. But we encourage people to keep trying (like I said, its the only form of pay that we get on this site).

Plus, it really helps if the member knows where a topic belongs. Such as putting a site related thread in the Site Related subforum ...

With my rough, elementary math skills, you are averaging just over 32 posts a day, every day for over 4.5 years !!

I don't even know how to comprehend that statistic

So, what if one of the mods was suddenly killed in a sword fight? That would result in an overburden right?

I'll be there. Also, my sword is a rental, so we will need to wrap things up by 9am or I am charged a late fee. I am not allowed to turn in receipts for sword rental, hot dogs, or snow boots.

Hrpiii, you don't need to worry about the late fee...
Just make sure you have made your peace with God/Allah/Budda/Jevova/Xenu...

Unless I did it on purpose so that I could show the mods that I could move it to the proper forum once critical mass had built up.

I have been in Attendance at 3am on Fest days. And upright, I think, I was in my mind anyway.
