I wouldn't be mad, Not real happy, but not mad. I would just make my son/daughter work and pay for it. Would look like a good learning experience to me...

Hey it's got character now; just leave it, it will remind you and your daughter the fun times you experienced with your Camaro.

My girlfriend did the same thing literally a month after I got it. It happens. She took it to the shop and got it repaired after it happened then bought me dinner even though I told her it was cool.

Perfect chance to get a free dinner.

One thing I've learned: If youre trying to keep soemthign looking nice, NEVER let anyone borrow it unless youre with them. Otherwise, no need to be surprised in what happens. My brother whos 30 asked to borrow mine. That was a huge negative. I told him I appreciate him asking me, but that unless Im with him? Only person whos allowed to drive it is my dad.

Glad your daughter is safe.

It's nothing $300 - $500 or so can't fix. Hope she has a job! :-) Actually, you may be able to get it refinished for less, I know in New England there is a shop that will do this between $100 and $200, that is if the wheel isn't bent.

Wizard, talk about!! I'm with you on who I let borrow things. No kids, so I guess I'll never have to cross that bridge. But the neices and nephews won't get to drive it. Ride in it, yes though! :-)

Check e-bay. Get new wheel for fairly cheap. (this is a rear wheel but you check until they get a front one)

Looking forward to my buddy getting to drive ours this weekend. Its a car folks. It was built to be driven, and depending on what Camaro you own, driven hard. Things can happen. They make the parts to fix most of those things. I do not own a car that has not caught a guardrail at the track or the unseen pothole in the apex on a blind curve. Paintings are meant to be hung on the wall, cars are meant to be driven Things happen!

Funny daughter story on my end. I was teaching my daughter how to drive in the WS6 because I told her she was going to learn to drive stick before automatic (little did I know). We got in the car and drove around the subdivision. She was not doing bad. She stalled it a few times, and was getting frustrated but I encouraged her to keep trying. Finally, in the middle of our street, she stalled the car. She proceeded to open the door, get out and start walking to the house. I called fer her, but the girl just kept walking. That was the end of her manual transmission career. We still laugh about this to the day, just as you and your daughter will about the wheel.
