The oem wires are not too close to the tubes. I never burned one wire, and I used the oem ones. If anything, just get some slip on plug wire socks to protect them.

Sounds good, should be fairly quick. The last few sets I've done on f bodys was a few hours. I'll be doing full exhaust, intake, porting the throttle body, pulley and tuning it so should be a good weekend! I'll be able to do everything but weld the quad tips I purchased. Can't wait to see what it'll do this time at the track.

You'll find that installing headers on a 5th Gen is a godsend compared to a 4th Gen. I actually found it easier than my '12 Silverado was. And waaay easier than my '86 Cutlass was.

Friend of mine with an L99 just had these put on hers. Aside from the AFM making them sound kinda funky at low throttle/cruising, they sound great when she rips on it. Plus they looked solid as well

What's the holdup? Get them ordered already ffs. What's holding you back? They fit great and are very reasonably priced.

So everyone the install went great!! Of course the driver side was a breeze. From start to finish putting new plugs, wires and of course gaskets in the driver said was complete injust over 45 minutes. The complete install was a walk in the park. If you've got a few jack stands, floor jack, basic tools, penetrating oil and the slightest bit of knowledge the install took me 2 hours and 45 minutes from the time I started to the time I cranked the car. I've got lots of pictures and will throw in some pointers here soon. For 3 hours of work an the way the headers look and fit. You can't beat it. By far the money was well spent for just over $300 with connecting tubes.
