Just an FYI. You do know that "Bound" is not the correct term, right? Actually, I don't think it's a term at all for suspension. It's called Compression and Rebound. I'd hope a suspension company would know that. Also, they're called remote reservoirs, not canisters or cans.
BTW they look VERY nice. If they perform like they look, they must be a killer addition to the car. |

They do perform -- probably better than they look. Thanks for checking in! |

In terms of how we discuss or describe things, we are seriously influenced by our Aussie Mates! Pedders is a Aussie company. So it takes some getting use to. I.E. if they tell you to go pick up that rattler over there, that does not mean and diamond back rattlesnake! mike dms |

Pete did an outstanding job of discussing our new coil over. But he is being nice. Compare this coil over with the other remote reservior company and put them side by side. You will see some sizeable differences.

Those aren't shocks... They're hydraulic and/or pneumatic accumulators. Don't EVEN get me started on springs!
Seriously tho.. I like the route you guys are taking compared to others, the monocoque is already stiff, no need for braces... Yet

Most everyone with a 5th Gen is into bolt-on technology. I am now involved with the ULTIMATE BOLT-ON DREAM PROJECT
Oops, wrong dream. This dream is to build a NASCAR style circle track car from a body in white and do it in an environmentally positive way. The dream is to go racing with E85, cats and be socially responsible AND beat the traditional style race cars that are HD polluters. On top of that, we do it on a reasonable budget with off the shelf parts so that this class of racing is available to most anyone who can turn a wrench along with a couple of buddies in his garage. So which would be sexier to a 5th Gen Camaro Enthusiast? A 5th Gen NASCAR style dedicated race car built from off the shelf part that kicks a$$ on track or Pamela Anderson? VOTE HERE |

For the drag strip weight transfer and hook up are where the money is. Disconnect a front endlink and secure it for the runs. Set the bound to full hard and the rebound to full soft up front. Reverse it in the rear. full soft for the bound and full hard for the rebound. The rear camber should be set to ZERO or even a bit positive so when the IRS squats hard the tire contact patch is square to the pavement for optimal traction. The beauty of this setup is that you can drive to the track with a great riding great handling car, switch to your drag wheel and tire setup, change your damper settings, race almost like a pro, and drive home on your street tire setup with great ride and great handling. This is the setup for the Camaro owner that wants it ALL. |
