I've always used Vaseline, thin lite coat and your good and will not cause you any issues.

Look up this ... American Grease Stick Sil-Glyde O-Ring Lubricant used to seal O rings in brake reservoirs.

ordinarily I'd say "never lube an o-ring with anything before you know what the o-ring is made of" but molykote is a good product and we use it regularly on o-rings Quote:

I normally use whatever the O ring is going to seal. Vaseline works, and brake slide lube also works. With fuel injectors, just having the seal wet with gasoline will allow it to slip into the fuel rail.
