There a LOT of threads on this already. If you replace the CAI, the intake is no longer under warranty. Any problems that result from the CAI being on there will also not be warrantied. Your entire warranty will not be voided because of the CAI. Some dealers may try to tell you this but that is NOT true. So if that's what your dealer tells you find another dealer. If you don't have another dealer around you, it's your call what to do. They can make it a real headache for you if they want to. It's been my experience that they don't care about CAI and exhaust mods.

Thumbs up

Good post.
This should be a sticky!!
As far as I know, changing out the CAI/headers or what not, it definitely will not be covered by your GM warranty UNLESS you use the GM Performance parts.

I've heard a few others say that as well. I am not sure that is the case. Can someone who works for a dealer or GM verify that?

We are currently researching and developing the best cold air intake system for the new 2010 camaro. We will be living on the dyno and the track the next few weeks to make sure we have the best kit on the market.
As for the warranty issues, the aftermarket cold air system and header system will only void your current induction and exhaust warranty.

If any of you have any further questions or wish to get in on our initial group buy rate please feel free to shoot me a pm or just give me a call at the shop. For those of you around the country who have not heard of my company please feel free to just google our name or pick up any of the latest magazines. Our track results speak for themselves.

Roto-fab is also working on a new CAI. We've had very positive results with our G8 intake and we expect the same for the Camaro. Much like we did for the G8, we will be offering a complete underhood appearance package as well.
