i dont think it really happened but im pretty sure the gt500 will out run the zl1 in a straight line due to weight. 3820lbs vs 4120lbs.

I loved how all the C5ers were calling BS as if there's no way a GT500 could beat a ZL1 or as if there's no way anyone would be racing their ZL1 yet.
I dunno about you guys but I've had a lot f-bodies and I was never shy about stop light racing them, especially when they were new and I was out cruising in the car. Bottom line is that the cars offer similar performance and any race could go either way depending on driver and whatever mods each car might have. |

A stock 2011-2012 GT500 will beat a stock ZL1 from a roll all day long, with drivers being equal.
Power to weight ratio favors the GT500. |
