I love mine, but found it dangling from my dash today, due to the sticky Velcro I used (not the tape supplied) came unstuck from the cold temps. I gotta revise my mounting.
Still, I love this thing! IMO, it's not as much performance enhancer, but something that fixes a throttle response "problem" with the 5th Gen Camaro, resulting in having much more consistent control with light throttle adjustments. |

If I feel like doing some sport driving, I kick it up to about SP7, but if I'm just going to drive to work in traffic, I set it at SP1 and forget it. I think GM engineered a "smoothness" to the throttle, but it's a detriment because it delays acceleration. I would really like to see someone do a few passes at the drag strip to see if the VTC can help off the line.

From what I understand of this mod is that it gives the car more of an old school carburated feeling as if it were cable attached right to the carb? correct?
Also, what setting is most close to the 'stock' feel? 0? |

Stock feel would be about SP0 or SP1. The controller gives you the option of instant 100% power to the back wheels. It's very hard to describe in words. Just imagine being slammed back into your seat instantly, right off the line.

Thanks Red - I was assuming what you replied, but thanks for confirming... Definitely on my list of things to buy. Trying to find a local place that sells them...

I don't know if this applies to anyone else with the VTC...
Once installed, no matter the setting, it changes what happens when you completely lift off the throttle. With the VTC, when you lift off the throttle, there is an immediate drop off of power, a halting of acceleration. No gradual pull forward after completely letting off the throttle, which happens stock. Not sure if that gradual pull tapers off, similar to the slowing of the opening of the throttle (but a slowing of the closing so it is less abrupt)...but that seems to be the case. |

Can the different SP settings be changed while in gear driving? Or do you need to be stopped in Park?
I keep trying to talk myself out of this thing...but I keep reading these positive reviews. Also does it still make a difference with a ported TB? |
