I was surprised when they didn't go after me. My friend said it's because I was off of government property so all they could do is radio it in to the actual police. I ended up spending the night out in town and went through a different gate when I came back just to be safe.

Next thing I know I am sliding sideways heading for a ditch, over compensated then heading for a guard rail. I was in a panic thinking about crunching the front end on the guard rail, turned right and goosed it again. By the time I stopped I was facing up the entrance ramp staring at the people trying to get on the expressway.

The only thing damaged was my pride, thankfully. I'm sure I looked like an idiot but it was a pretty good recovery to not put the car in the ditch or smash it up on the guard rail.

I've drifted around a couple of corners but the car felt as expected...pucker factor = < 7.5. Of course, now you've gone and jinxed me.

Second or third week of owning it. I needed to be in the left lane for an off ramp on the interstate. I was previously in the left lane (now middle lane), but had gotten over to let onramping traffic on. I was in the far right lane and no one would let me over. The left lane is VERY short, it is only there for on-ramping and off-ramping traffic. Horrible design to say the least. I decided to gun it to get over. I was already doing 50 or 60mph. I accelerated to about 80 mph, cut off someone, and I am immediately at the off ramp. I begin braking as soon as I can. The off ramp is a wide, long curve. As I slow down and go down the curved road off ramp I can feel my rear sliding away from me and squealing. I am sure I made a scene. I braked more then and kept control of the car. Outside of that I've never had her get away from me in rain, nannies off during any weather, or any other time I've gunned it. I've chirped the tires plenty of times though

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

Thankfully haven't had this happen yet. I did however experiment with drifting in a closed lot this weekend in the rain and that was a load of fun. Didn't get too crazy

No...but i had a Mustang in front of me at a 4 way stop and i could see him checking me out in his mirror. He dumps the clutch and does a massive burnout as he turns left. He gets sideways and almost lost his car in a ditch on the other side of the road.....classic

One day leaving work I was merging onto the highway, the on ramp at the fastest I have taken it in my 93 is about 35-40, 40 the tires are squeaking mind you. So I slam on the gas not thinking so I can hurry up and get on. End up losin the back end at 60. Luckily I recovered with out any damage except for having to change my pants.

+1 pulled out into a busy street and too much gas and cut it a little too much. The rear went out almost into the curb but the stabilitrak and traction control kicked in just as i was about to correct it. this all happened in 2 seconds. i was impressed on how well the car corrected itself with little/no input from me. If it was my 86 would have been "s" marks on the street... did I mention I love my camaro?

I gotta second that one. I was told before the fact that RWD cars are different when you turn em hard and accelerate, but I wasn't ready...
