Knowing what I know now, I probably would have gone coupe or another brand of vehicle. These tops are going to be problematic due to poor design. Anytime you buy the first model of a new design, you risk these issues.

Living in Chicago, I will have limited use out of the top with Chicago winters. However, I am loving driving it with the top down while I can.

The top is starting to wrinkle a little on the passenger side behind the quarter window. I am glad it is on the pass side so I don't see it all the time. Hopefully it will not get any worse.

Even when driving with the top up, I really like not having the massive B pillar and a quarter window that actually goes down, unlike the porthole-like one on the coupe.

I can understand why you would thing that we all hate our 'verts, but I think that it's because we love them that we're so disappointed in GM's response to this problem. We want to keep them and we want them to look good. That means that the top problems MUST be resolved not just for us but for the 'vert to continue to sell down the road. I think many of us don't understand why GM doesn't love this car as much as we do, enough to make it right!

Just my 2 cents, I could be wrong.

I've had mine for 6 months and I've extremely happy with it. I certainly wish the top had been better made, but that does not make me regret buying the car.

Love my current car. Had it for 6 weeks. Top has never been up in it except to store it overnight. Last car, not so much. Loved the car, hated all the problems. Now my current car is what I expected when I bought the other one last year. Much better quality, exhaust sounds louder, better overall quality on this one.

Absolutely love this car... Went on a day trip with my wife yesterday, 33 degrees celcius top down it was great, even if I did discover my first hole in the top above passenger window yesterday... REALLY hope GM get's these issues resolved SOON!

Did you change colors from your first one to your second because of choice or was that the one that matched most closely what you wanted from an options perspective.

I have a black coupe right now and I am considering a vert. I have been looking at the colors and not sure if your color is not to classy for me. Probably makes no sense but thought I would ask.

^^Assinine statement.

I expect a hell of a lot more for my $40k than rub marks that GM wants to call "normal" that are rubbing through the top. As well as, I've owned 4 other convertibles that did NOT have these "normal" rub marks.

Bipolar much? Which position do you want to take? Are you saying these rub marks are normal? Or are you saying they are not?

And you left out the part where GM said these marks are normal and they would do nothing more. You're poop out of luck. doesn't sound like GM realizes they have a problem.

I'm not going to stand down from this. "Oh don't worry about those little marks. All cars have them." Not in my experience. And they don't make holes in the first few thousand miles either. And they don't have lakes, and they don't have broken bows etc...

But you are welcome to go on your merry way and I wish you the best. Right up to that 36,100 mile mark when you notice that those rub marks have become holes and GM will tell you to go pound sand.

As for my drop top? Love it, I just hate the way GM is handling this problem.
