what is needed to do a crank relearn? will the dealer be able to tell that the computer was swapped if you use the original when it goes in for service?

A dash hawk or other high end scan tool and no the dealer couldn't tell on your scenario.

You may need to do a crank relearn but you definitely need to do the theft relearn. I have seen this issue on another vehicle. Your ECM is not bad you just reached the number of key cycles it took to lock up. I don't remember the exact number but its somewhere between 50 and 100. You won't see a theft light on the dash by the way but relearn it correctly and you won't see this issue again.
