Exactly what I did. Got an LS and started modding the heck out of it.

I would say LS is a good place to start. I have the 1LT... but LS is like base base car. You save a lot of money to run some mods. I kind of wish I went LS instead of 1LT.

Look in the classified section of CAMARO5. lots of people sell the stock upgrade rims and tires at very good prices to upgrade to after market. Kevin Txrhino

Love ours. But I will say at this point there are no plug and play Halos or driving lights. I am sure there will be but not as of yet. As far as the 118 mph when you get 20’s just reprogram it.

The V6 has plenty of power... More power than any non going to the track driver will ever need... Why are you so concerned about the 118MPH limit? That is far above and beyond any speed limit anyway... I put a Magnaflow exhaust with an X pipe and an Injen CAI and let me tell you, it sounds mean as heck!!!!! I have and love my LS... It's the best bang for the buck to be found.. And on top that, it's a sweet looking Camaro.. I doubt you'd be disappointed with the LS... Here is a photo of my LS.. |

The only reasons I got the 1LT (which is close to the LS) is the sunroof and wheels. Sounds like you don't mind not having those, so you should be good to go. Summit White is beautiful.

What does that mean? The V-6 has more HP than an LT-1 and comes close in performance. Not to mention the 5th Gen V-6 will out handle any previous F-Body, making "going fast" even better & safer. Ever been 150 in a 4th Gen? Car feels like it's floating, I bet the 5th feels far better. There's alot of good exhaust's that sound good an a V-6, but no they won't sound like a V-8........cause they're not V-8's. Some people like the turbo whine of a 4 cylinder, some a "throaty" V-8, and some........gasp!!....like the sound of a 6.

I would prefer a leather steering wheel over the plastic one in the LS. Other than that, no complaints

Boy oh boy, raqball, your car really shows that even the base Camaro with a nice set of wheels can look a million dollars. Let's hear it for the v6, The SS is great but we don't all have bulging wallets.

As shown in other threads, the speed is limited to your tire ratings for your own safety.
