Please let us know. From what I could gather (based on reviews, description, and pictures), it is not a pdf file. Rather, it is some sort of software. There were system requirements posted, and some reviews complained that it bogged down their computers, which to me doesn't sound like a PDF.

Sounds like it could run on some multimedia platform like Flash or Java. If those items are not up to snuff it would cause performance issues with anything that requires them. Or it just could be a poorly written app. Looks interesting though. Like to hear more.

Can you check for root kits or any type of suspicious issues(malware) if it includes an installer app?

I have some other knock-off GM service manual CD's and they suck. No real good way to search with them. You would ASSUME they were searchable but these were not. Maybe the newer ones are better. Until that gets fixed the hard copy is best.

Anyone get a digital copy of the service manual. If you could PM me with some info on where to get it. I would rather get a digital copy and print out the pages I need and bring them to my home shop then get the book greasy with my pawprints.

Thx
